Your data,
handled honestly.
What we collect
When you use Atelier, we collect the following information:
Selfie images. Photographs you submit for colour analysis are processed by our AI vision model to determine your colour season. The full-resolution image is processed transiently and is not retained after your result is generated. A small compressed thumbnail is saved to your private scan history so you can review your past analyses inside the app — these thumbnails are visible only to you, are tied to your account, and can be deleted individually or all at once from the History tab at any time. Deleting your account removes them permanently.
Account information. Your email address and subscription status, managed securely via Apple's Sign in with Apple and the App Store. We do not store payment information — all billing is handled by Apple.
Usage data. Anonymous, aggregated information about how features are used — which screens are visited, how often the scanner is opened, session length. This data cannot be tied back to you as an individual.
Device information. iOS version, device model, and app version, used for diagnosing technical issues and improving compatibility.
How we use your data
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the colour analysis and wardrobe tools you've subscribed to
- Improve the accuracy of the AI model across diverse skin tones and lighting conditions
- Send the Weekly Edit newsletter, if you've opted in
- Respond to support requests
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your images to train AI models without explicit consent. We do not use your data for advertising.
Data storage and security
Atelier uses industry-standard encryption for all data in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. Your account data is stored in the United States on servers that comply with SOC 2 Type II standards.
Full-resolution selfie images used for analysis are processed transiently and are not retained after your result is generated. A compressed thumbnail of each scan is stored, encrypted, alongside the result of the analysis — your season, palette, and scores — and associated with your account so you can view your history. You can delete this data at any time from within the app.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate information
- Delete your account and all associated data at any time, from within the app
- Export your analysis results and wardrobe data
- Opt out of the newsletter at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at rrruco@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days.
Third-party services
Atelier uses the following third-party services:
- Anthropic (Claude API). Powers the colour analysis vision model. Images are processed under Anthropic's data processing agreement and are not used to train their models.
- Apple App Store. Processes all subscription payments and billing.
- RevenueCat. Manages subscription state and entitlements. RevenueCat receives a randomised account identifier and your subscription status — never your name, email, or images.
- Supabase. Secure database and authentication hosting for your account, palette, and scan history.
- Vercel. Hosts this website.
Each third-party service is bound by a data processing agreement that restricts how they may use your data.
Cookies
This website uses only essential cookies — session cookies required for basic functionality. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.
